What happened when the world as we knew it

changed: COVID-19

ON MARCH 16TH, 2020 RALSTON OPERATIONS WERE NO LONGER BUSINESS AS USUAL. OUR OFFICES CLOSED AND WITHIN A FEW DAYS WE WERE OPERATING SEAMLESSLY FROM HOME.

The Ralston My Way team continued to take calls and reach out to let members know we were here to serve. We identified authoritative sources for information, implemented special staff training needed to serve our members during the pandemic, increased our supply of personal protective equipment (PPE) and facilitated grocery shopping and delivery for members who needed help. Some caregivers provided home care and others offered transportation to those with regularly scheduled dialysis or other critical treatments.

The Ralston Wellness team and fitness instructors took our traditional in person exercise classes virtual via Zoom. Participants embraced the idea and asked for more classes to be added. We were happy to oblige.

We shared COVID-19 credibly sourced updates, information and articles relevant to our participants, members and community partners. The entire Ralston team gathered daily online to assign critical tasks, discuss our work and how our members and participants were doing and, most of all, stay in touch and support each other.

Our commitment and passion for older adults remains strong. We are delivering all of our regular Ralston My Way services in accordance with CDC guidelines and continue to provide Ralston Wellness exercise and education programs virtually via Zoom.

Lives made better by Ralston. Won’t you join us in our efforts and DONATE NOW to subsidize the work of the caring instructors and staff at Ralston Center and help us reach our goal of raising $2,500 by Tuesday, December 1st?

To send a donation, mail to
